The Olympiadinsky Mining and Processing Plant is a processing enterprise whose resource base is the namesake Olympiadinskoye deposit (Olympiada) — one of the largest gold ore deposits in Russia, located in the North Yenisei district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Olympiada is one of the largest and, at the same time, one of the most geotechnically challenging gold deposits in the world. The open-pit mine reaches a depth of 450 meters. To extract one ton of ore, 40 tons of waste rock must be removed from the pit. However, the scale of gold production at the Olympiadinskoye mine is unique. Gold recovery from the ore reaches 80%.
